DAEMON iTools

The name DAEMON Tools is synonymous with drive emulation; I for one, immediately think of Daemon Tools whenever I need to mount an ISO image on a virtual drive and I’m sure lots of other people do the same. DAEMON iTools is a new product that allows you to mount sections of your iPhone and access them with Windows Explorer. This is a tool that can be used to transfer data from your PC to your iPhone (or another iOS-powered device) and the other way around. You can use it to download/upload photos, videos, music, and books.

DAEMON iTools supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 (32- as well as 64-bit versions). DAEMON iTools does not need iTunes to work. To get DAEMON iTools up and working, you will have to complete a standard installation process: download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. The following buttons are presented in the upper left hand corner of DAEMON iTools’ interface:
Devices – the panel to the left displays all the iOS-powered devices that are connected to your PC; the panel to the right displays the media you can access.
Options – ask what to do when a new iDevice is connected to the PC, enable the DAEMON iTools Tray Agent (that allows you to access your iDevice’s mounted sections); enable extended logs.

Registration – unfortunately, DAEMON iTools is not free, it is only free to try. When the 20-day trial period is over, you will have to register your copy.

Thanks to DAEMON iTools you can work with your iOS-powered device just like you would with a Flash drive. You can view the data that is stored on your iDevice within Windows Explorer, you can download data from your iDevice to your PC, and you can upload data from your PC to your iDevice. Thanks to DAEMON iTools you can easily transfer music, photos, movies, books, or PDF documents.
